Chennai-based Mukesh Infoservices has come up with an innovative way to
ensure that its customers keep coming back for more. It has started a customer
loyalty program, which is modeled on the lines of the privilege club membership
offered by credit card companies.
Mukesh Infoservices offers a privilege card to its customers and for every
order that is placed with them; the customer can avail of certain points. The
points can be accumulated and then redeemed for gifts. While the scheme itself
is not very unusual, the solution provider has tweaked it to suit the needs of
its customers.
B Mukund, CEO of Mukesh Infoservices spoke about the initiative and said,
"We want to add value to the total offering that we give our customers and
keep coming up with innovative ways to engage with them."
The company also organizes educational seminars for its customers and points
are rewarded for clients who attend the same. The reasoning is that if a client
attends the workshop, he will get a first hand idea of the benefits some of the
solutions showcased there will add to his business and will be more keen to
place an order.
Mukund said, "We started conducting these programs from July 2007 and
till date have conducted two programs - one in the Business critical systems and
another about workstations. Our next program is based on virtualization."
In these programs, technical personnel from explain to the customers the
current market position about the subject technology, its predicted evolution
and how they can leverage it in their business. This is followed by an
interactive session, where they take up specific cases and offer solutions to
each of the customers.
Mukund further added, "We have made a conscious business strategy to
focus more intensively on the service providing domain and are educating
customers so that they could be aware of the things happening in the industry.
We propose to become a complete solution provider for most leading verticals in
the enterprise segment."
Currently, the company has identified four broad solution verticals, which
would cover all the insights needed for any business house. These include brick
infrastructure, foundation infrastructure, connect infrastructure and managed
infrastructure.
In the brick infrastructure, Mukesh Infoservices would concentrate on the
peripherals business while in the foundation infrastructure business critical
applications such as servers, storage, software, security would be covered.
Under the connect infrastructure, they would provide network related
infrastructure ranging from LAN, WAN to thin clients and the Managed
infrastructure would manage all these resources using SAP and other business
automation solutions.
Mukesh Infoservices is also on an expansion spree. It has opened branches in
Madurai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Sriperambudur. Talking about spreading to
other locations, Mukund noted, "This expansion was carried out to cater our
customers requirements in various parts and since we were receiving more offers
from those places we started a branch there," he said. Very shortly, Mukesh
Infoservices will conduct customer education programs in these cities also.
The solution provider has also set up a Proof of Concept (POC) center, which
is mobile. "Customers could take the product to their place, test it there,
see how it works and then place an order. This gives them the freedom to
experiment with it in their own environment," Mukundh explained.
Additionally, they can also visit the POC present in the office and could take
the training and deploy it in their enterprise, if they wish.
