Multitech appoints Nirmal as distributor for south

Multitech Computers has appointed Nirmal Datacomm as the exclusive distributor for its ATL range of products in south. This tie-up is strategic in nature as Nirmal also offers Breezecom, Cisco, Rad group, Cobalt and Zyxel products.

Nirmal will distribute all the ATL products like 64K bps modems, 2MBps modems, G.SHDSL routers - AM 2 and AM 8, DSLAMS and Multiplexers. Nirmal intends to market all these products through ISPs and system integrators. Both Multitech and Nirmal hopes to grow its business by 50-60% with the introduction of ATL products.

According to Kedar Shah, MD, Nirmal will have dedicated sales consulting teams to ensure that customers get the right kind of products for their requirement at a good price. "This team will also help customer to build solutions as per their requirements," says
Kedar.

Meanwhile, both Multitech and Nirmal has clarified that it will provide support to existing install base of ATL customers which were sold by RB Comptech in the past.

In view of this new tie-up, Nirmal is starting a regional repair center for ATL range of products in Bangalore. The regional support team will be trained by Multitech within a month.
