Mumbai disti's daughter tops Maharashtra CET

Mumbai: Shagun Shah has made her father Jyotin Shah of Mumbai-based JS Equipments a proud man. She secured first place in the Maharashtra common entrance test (CET) for medical admission with a score of 199/200. A total of 2.49 lakh students had undertaken the Maharashtra CET.

Shagun, a student of Jai Hind College in Mumbai, had earlier scored an overall 90.4 percent in HSC examinations. Post the declaration of CET results, an elated Shah quipped, “It was an unbelievable and proud moment of our life. Last week when the Class 12 results (HSC) were announced, our family was holidaying in Patayya and we were overjoyed to learn that she had secured 90.4 percent. She has been a dedicated and consistent performer and we were sure she would feature in the merit list, but we were taken by surprise when we learned that she had topped the CET exams.”

Shah further added that Shagun had aspired to become a doctor and she is very much on her way to fulfill it. “She wants to pursue medicine and will take admission in KEM College. We are very proud of her and wish her all the success in the medical field,” stated Shah.
