Mumbai partner's son tops city's IIT JEE exams

Mumbai: Paresh Shah of PH Teknow is busy attending to phone calls as people fall over each other to congratulate him and his son, Pararth, who has topped Mumbai's IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) examinations this year. Pararth also stood fourth in the all India ranking for this competitive exam and has now joined IIT in Mumbai to pursue higher studies in computer science.

It is also reported that IITians Pace, an Andheri-based coaching class that trained Shah for the exams has decided to gift him a Nano-this though Pararth has yet to learn to drive.

He is a student from AV Patel Junior College, where he pursued vocational courses in computer science which he opted over Science and Hindi. "I doubt he hardly attended the regular college except for taking part in the practicals," said a jubilant Paresh Shah.

This was not an issue because Pararth was a topper in National Testing Service (NTS) during his school days following which the government has been giving him a token stipend to aid his education.

Pararth's list of achievements does not end there. When he was in the ninth standard, he had designed the complete website of his school as part of a project.

This aside, he had also won a laptop for a story writing competition participated by three lakh students where he wrote a fiction story within two hours. He has also penned over 25 poems till date.
