But ironically the facts goes otherwise. To start with cloud is a concept on how enterprise are looking rebuilding their IT infrastructure and cloud can reduce both capex and opex, which is sometimes understood otherwise. Also, as projected only for large enterprises even SMBs can move faster and transfer all their IT headaches and small SIs and SPs are deploying cloud now and looking this as a new business line. The next phase is security and to understand the cloud is equally secure over the traditional method.
Another important thing is that every piece of computers like server, storage and desktops and networking elements both passive and active along with peripherals like UPS and printers and of course, softwares are the building blocks of cloud. The next big issue which takes IT manager large headspace is that the enterprise need to move out of the legacy infrastructure in order to move into cloud. But , it should be noted that there is hardly any need to replace all legacy as cloud deployments require only minimal tweaking that can be done seamlessly.
The penultimate list of issues that we are looking into includes the need to maintain highly skilled workforce to manage one's cloud deployments but as a matter of fact SMBs can completely outsource their cloud management safely to a third party and there is no need to have even one IT person in-house. Therefore, it showcases a great opportunity for partners.
Last but not the least and partners please make a note here: against the views that the partners will lose their traditional model of billing, the cloud billing model might go a little shift, but system integrators stand to gain more business and improve both topline and bottom lines in the cloud environment.
