Net4India introduces networking products

Net4India launched several networking products recently. The 802.11b WLAN
hotspot AP is a single LAN access point (AP) operating under the IEEE802.11b
standard. An AP provides internet access through network adapters with enhanced

security and encryption capabilities. A network can be created wherein a user
has to authenticate himself before access is granted.

The other product 802.11b high-power access point, which is a single LAN port
AP operating under IEEE 802.11b standard. On connecting the AP to an existing
ethernet, notebooks and desktop computers can communicate with it to access the
internet through network adapters.

The company also introduced 802.11b wireless USB adapter that connects
directly to any USBready desktop or notebook. After the installation, it can be
plugged in to share data, printers or access high-speed Internet over the
existing wireless network. It supports wireless connection speeds of up to
11Mbps.

A 802.11b PCMCIA card was also launched which offers wireless connection up
to 11 Mbps. After installation, the PCMCIA card has to be plugged into the PC
card slot in the notebook and an user can work anywhere within the wireless
802.11b coverage area.
