Netgear unveils new router

New Delhi: Netgear announced the availability wireless router, RangeMax dual band wireless-N gigabit router WNDR3700.

Atul Jain, Country Manager-India & SAARC, Netgear India said, "The new offering is crammed with unique features like ReadyShare for high-speed access to a USB hard drive from any device on the network, broadband usage metering, Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) support and video Quality of Service (QoS).

Dual band technology enables concurrent use of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, offering twice the bandwidth with better connections and less interference. Additionally, the router's eight internal antennas are fine-tuned for each frequency band, delivering extended range.

The RangeMax also has a ReadyShare that provides access to external USB storage devices for anyone on the network. By plugging a USB drive into the router one gets to read/write wireless access from any PC on the network. Additionally, multiple file formats are supported.
