With its base in Malaysia all in place, Netlink Business Systems is geared up
to tap the potentially rich international markets
From registering Rs 71 crore business in 2004-05, New Delhi-based Netlink
Business Systems has clocked an impressive turnover of Rs 137 crore for the year
2005-06. The main divisions of the company are systems/network integration,
agency and offshore operations, solution/IT services among others, out of which
a major chunk of the revenue is generated from network integration.
The company has been focusing on the ITeS sector since a long time and has of
late started focusing on the financial and banking sector. Most of the company's
customers are retailers, followed closely by IT/ITeS/telecom and SME/SMB sector.
It aims to be a complete IT telecom service provider.

Services the company offers include: system integration, TIIMS (total IT
infrastructure management services) and software development. The company claims
to have a comprehensive global focus on TIIMS, Marketing and delivery of full
fleged division on huge networking projects.
Agencies that the company has been working with include IBM, HP, Cisco, Tyco,
Apple, Nortel, Microsoft and Systimax. HP was the top vendor for Netlink's
distribution business. Its largest projects include Max New York, NIIT and HCL
Technologies.
Laying a lot of emphasis on employee training Netlink spent double the amount
of last year on educating its employees, and is working on helping employees
gain an understanding of business, and also employee retention, which is a big
factor today. The company currently has a total workforce of over 270 employees
and is gunning to have over 400 employees by 2007.
Although a major share of their revenue comes from international operations
(about 35 percent), in India the largest share of their revenue comes from the
northern region. From the four quarters, it was in JFM 2006 that the company
earned most of their revenue that was Rs 41 crore followed by Rs 37 crore earned
in OND 2005.
Netlink is looking at expanding their team and customer base to cover
international markets with potential. The company is looking to expand their US
operations with multiple offices. They have also initiated tie-ups with various
European companies in similar business and are providing TIIMS to customers in
Europe.
