Having acquired an engineering degree in electronics from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth
in Mumbai, Biren Selarka, CEO, ACMA Computers resolved to set-up an enterprise
of his own. Hence, in 1994 ACMA Computers came into existence. In the beginning,
ACMA continued to offer services around computer assembling, but with the
passage of time and with the advancement in technology, Selarka decided to focus
on services and solutions around networking and providing robust IT
infrastructure.
Currently, SMB vertical is the biggest contributor (in the range of 50-60
percent) to ACMA's revenue as far as its network management portfolio is
concerned. Other segments such as government, education, BFSI and enterprise
contribute the remaining.

“I realized that services was the best way to earn higher revenues and hence
started putting thrust on services such as Annual Maintenance contract to
resident engineering services and facilities management services. From a
solution standpoint, remote infrastructure manageÂment, structured cabling,
network management, back up and security have now become ACMA's focus area,”
stated Selarka.
As a solution provider, Selarka feels that ACMA will have to primarily
understand the level of expansion and the target vertical. “ACMA will focus on
remote network management as an area of expansion and all our investments will
be directed towards it. Services can range from procuring and placing manpower
to doing data-entry jobs. We are looking at hiring more people and expand the
infrastructure,” he added.
ACMA currently has 150 employees, and by the next two quarters, will be
adding another 20-25 people. The company is currently looking at maintaining the
RoI for its customers.
