New IT association in Bhopal

Issues like price undercutting, cheque bouncing, delayed payments, lack of
support from distributors and vendors, dead-on-arrival (DoA) cases and improper
inventory management resulting in shortage is something that the channel in
Bhopal has been grappling for quite some time now. Now the partners in the city
have decided that they have had enough.

At the recently held IT Panchayat, organized by DQ Channels and The DQ Week,
partners gave vent to these problems. This event acted as a catalyst for them to
come together and form an association, which will help them deal with them
effectively. The new association will be named after Raja Bhoj and will be
called Bhoj Information Technology and Office Automation Association or BITOAA.
Elections to appoint the executive council of the association will be held in
the month of Oct 2007, and there is a keen interest amongst the members to be a
part of the process. Eight to 10 positions for the executive council will be up
for the election.
