The global race for AI supremacy is won through computing power, and India is positioning itself as a dominant contender. Gorilla Technology has announced a massive extension of its AI infrastructure collaboration with Yotta Data Services, a move that deepens its role at the centre of the world's most strategically important AI markets.
This new tranche involves the deployment of an additional 20,736 B300 GPU cards in India. With a project value of approximately USD 2.8 billion, this expansion represents a significant scale-up from previous deployments.
A milestone in sovereign and enterprise AI
The deployment, expected to be completed by September 30, 2026, is more than just a hardware installation; it is a foundational buildout for Sovereign AI. This ensures that India-based enterprises and government entities have access to hyperscale compute power within their own borders.
Key highlights of the expansion include:
NVIDIA Engagement: Roughly half of the offtake for this tranche is tied to a 4-year commitment from NVIDIA, linked to one of APAC’s largest NVIDIA DGX Cloud clusters.
Incremental Scale: This adds to the existing framework of 640 high-performance servers and 5,000+ GPUs already in progress.
Timeline: Deliveries for the initial project remain on track through July, with the new B300 tranche following closely behind.
Leadership perspectives on a global scale
Jay Chandan, Chairman & CEO of Gorilla Technology, views this as a validation of the company's regional strategy:
“This is another major step forward... and a very clear demonstration that our AI infrastructure strategy is translating into real scale, real deployments, and real commercial value. This project further reinforces Gorilla’s ambition to be a leading AI infrastructure partner across Asia.”
Sunil Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Yotta Data Services, emphasised the industrial scale of the partnership:
“We are delighted to expand this collaboration... establishing one of APAC’s largest NVIDIA DGX Cloud clusters in India. Support is accelerating our development and enabling us to meet the rapidly growing demand for hyperscale AI compute.”
Conclusion
As demand for AI compute explodes, the Gorilla-Yotta partnership provides the necessary "industrial scale" to fuel India's digital transformation. By securing a multi-year commitment with NVIDIA and focusing on next-generation B300 architecture, Gorilla Technology is not just building servers; it is building the engine for the next era of Asian innovation.
