Empire, its focus to enhance its offering and emerge as a component
supplier for white box assemblers paid off. Successful partnership
with Buffalo and opening its first exclusive retail store also played
a substantial role. In FY11, the company signed up with Buffalo for
its storage products and opened its first brand store in India. The
company is targeting to achieve a healthy growth by the end of this
financial year for its retail business and planning to open its
fourth store in NCR. It has expanded its product portfolio and is
also dealing in hard drives, storage, and monitors products.

It harnesses
almost 94% of the business through the resellers and dealers, system
builders and a small portion from SMEs and retailers. The company is
also eying to capture the on-site service market and branded
end-to-end IT products, and is planning to broaden its offering next
year. It has been harnessing the major share of its business from
Delhi region, and is yet to tap the potential of NCR.
