NITA starts live TV show on local channel

Nilgiri: Nilgiri Information Technology Association (NITA) has started a live TV show since July last week on a local cable network, CTN, every week to answer the queries of consumers across Nilgiri. The program is shown every week between 8-9pm on Tuesdays.

Currently, the association is spending on the program. Going forward, it has plans to pitch for sponsorships.

On the show, there will be three channel partners in the panel to address the queries of the callers. In every show, there are about 15-20 people calling up with queries.

Terrance Rajesh, President, NITA,said, “It is a unique initiative to build a close relationship with the consumers. We get queries on pricing, software piracy, anti-virus. We do solve some basic technical snags at times over the phone itself.”

The association ensures that all its members get a chance to sit in the panel. “Now, many people in Nilgiri know about NITA. There is a very good response from the consumers,” Rajesh informed. NITA is planning a free service camp for the customers in Coonoor shortly.
