Now its Numeric's turn to go green

New Delhi: Numeric Power Systems is venturing in to 'green energy' Solutions that is, solar power systems, wind energy generation and LED lighting systems. Numeric has recently launched a 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Numeric Solar Energy. The company's objective is to offer very specialized and standard solar product range to support the need to conserve energy under the renewable energy program combined with LED lighting solutions for a wide range of applications.

The company is planning a 1MW solar project in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where it has a 1.5MW windmill farm. The company has chalked an investment budget of Rs 25 crore for the purpose. Also it is looking to invest in LED lighting systems projects.

R Chellappan, MD, Numeric said that the company will buy solar cells from suppliers in Japan and Germany and configure panel modules and assemble them. "We are also toying with the idea of foraying into the precision air-conditioning space with a strategic partner," he said.
