Onward Novell launches SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 in India

Onward Novell - a joint venture organization between Novell Inc., USA and Onward Group Ltd has introduced SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9. According to
the company, SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 empowers businesses of all sizes to leverage Linux and open source by delivering a scalable, high-performance
foundation for secure enterprise computing. 

According to the press release, SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server also supports a broad range of hardware platforms and
leading software applications. Novell ZENworks Linux Management further strengthens this offering by adding change
and configuration solution for the enterprise. It also lowers deployment and administrative costs of Linux Systems by offering
administrative and management capabilities with YaST and ZENworks Linux Management

functionality to power today's networks and meet user demands," said Onward Novell Deputy CMD Harish
Mehta.

SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 features integrated management capabilities, including support for ZENworks Linux Management, which enable IT
professionals to easily deploy, configure and update Linux servers. SUSE LINUX Enterprise
Server 9 also delivers enterprise-level security and contains all the components required for compliance with the Common
Criteria Evaluation CAPP/EAL 4+, improving on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 8's already top-rated CAPP/EAL 3+
certification.

SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 is now available. Supported hardware architectures include x86, AMD64 and Intel
EM64, Intel Itanium Processor Family, IBM POWER, IBM zSeries and IBM S390. Yearly maintenance service
subscription  for x86 architectures starts at Rs 19,839 per server with two
CPUs.
