Oracle recently hosted its first CloudWorld global event series in India, where its senior executives, customers and partners discussed the ways to drive business transformation using the Oracle Cloud.
The event showcased Oracle's strategy and roadmap for cloud and social, besides sessions for line of business executives focused on sales and marketing, customer service and support, HR and talent management, and finance and operations. It also highlighted how organizations can best leverage social media to monitor, engage, and market to their customers.
With nearly 50 sessions, more than 30 speakers and participation of over 1000 senior decision makers and influencers from varied business functions as well as applications and IT professionals, developers, academia and partners (System Integrators and Independent Software Vendors), the event focused on helping them grow their cloud business in India with Oracle.

The debut of Oracle CloudWorld follows closely on the heels of the expansion of the Oracle Cloud services portfolio at Oracle OpenWorld 2012. Oracle President Mark Hurd kicked off Oracle CloudWorld on January 15, 2013 in Dubai. This was followed suit with events in Los Angeles and Sydney and will take place in other cities around the world including: London, Mexico City, Munich, New York City, Singapore, and Tokyo.
