Networking and cabling solutions vendor, Panduit International Corporation
will set up its second Customer Briefing Center (CBC) for Asia Pacific and
Japan, in India. Currently the vendor has a CBC in China. The Indian CBC is
likely to go live from June 2008. This center will showcase all Panduit
solutions, so partners can bring their customers there and help them decide on
the right solutions. The center will also double up as a training ground for
partners.

"This CBC will help their customers understand the benefits of going for
a structured cabling layout and the nuances that go into the setup of any
structured cabling design," said Kumar Natarajan, Regional Director, India
& South West Asia, Panduit International Corporation.

This aside, Panduit also intends to intensify its investment in India, by
taking its current headcount of 16 partners to around 30 by the end of this
fiscal. Having four distributors - Anixter , Asia Pacific Brands, Online Netsys
and Vibgyor Net connections, Panduit is mulling over appointing more
distributors to better entrench itself in the national market. "We want to
work with more partners but we are clear that we want to deal only with people
who offer value rather than volume, when it comes to solutions," Natarajan
claimed.

This aside, Panduit will also continue the Panduit Certified Installer (PCI)
program, where it will engage with the channel partners and offer technical
training to them.
