Polycom appoints MD for India and SAARC

New Delhi: Polycom announced the appointment of Neeraj Gill as MD India and SAARC. Gill will be responsible for guiding Polycom's business strategy in these territories, and for extending its share of key markets, particularly in the fast-growing video conferencing market, where Polycom is the dominant player locally with a share of more than 50 percent.

Hansjoerg Wagner, VP and MD-Asia Pacific, Polycom, said, “India is a critical market for Polycom globally, so it was a business imperative that we brought on board the right high-performance leader. Aside from his strong career background, Neeraj was hand-picked for this role because of his outstanding skills as a communicator, his tremendous drive to achieve success, and his exceptional understanding of India's enterprise, financial services and government sectors. I am confident Neeraj will play a key role in driving future revenue and competitive gains for Polycom in the fast-growing India and SAARC markets, particularly the immersive telepresence business, which is one of Polycom's largest businesses globally.”
