Pradeep Gupta bags IT People Award

Pradeep Gupta, CMD, CyberMedia was felicitated in Mumbai for his contribution
to the IT media industry since 1982. The award was given to him by IT People,
which has constituted 'Awards for Excellence in Information Technology', to
recognize an individual's contribution to the field of IT in the areas such as
leadership style, entrepreneurship, innova­tion and HR practices.

Into its third year, the IT People Awards for Excellence in Information
Technology felici­tates CEOs, CIOs, venture capitalists and HR heads from the
IT, ITeS and BPO sectors.

Others awarded at the ceremony were Ajay Chaudhary, Chairman, HCL India as
the CEO of the year. The HR professional awards went to Nandita Gurjar, Group HR
Head, Infosys BPO while the IT Leadership Award for Innovation went to Jay Menon,
Director-IT, Bharti Televentures.

While accepting this trophy, Pradeep Gupta said, “I have seen the IT industry
grow from a few millions to billions of rupees. We have given so many awards in
the IT industry but to receive one is something different. I am very thankful to
the jury for the award.”
