PROFILE:

Being the owner and
founder of Kolkata-based Macaws Infotech, Manasi Chakraborty Saha
looks after the marketing as well as the technical part of almost all
big deals. She started her dream venture, Macaws Infotech in 1998
with a small capital investment, and since then she has never looked
back. With an annual turnover of approximately Rs 6.5 crore, her
company deals in network security and management products. “I am
responsible for team building, managing branches, defining the topline
and
the bottomline for my team. Diversification of products and leading
my team to achieve the goals have been my top priorities,” said
Manasi Chakraborty Saha, CEO, Macaws Infotech.

With more than 15 years
of
experience, she has proved her mettle in the male-dominated IT
industry, and feels proud about it. Currently, Macaws Infotech has
branch offices in Bhubaneswar, and partner networks in Patna and
Guwahati.

BACKGROUND:

Saha was born
in Kolkata but due to her father's different job postings, she was
brought up in different cities and states, including Odisha, Guwahati
and Vadodara. Saha is a psychology honors graduate, who did her MBA
in marketing from IISWBM, Kolkata. Her professional qualification
includes, CINSP, MCSE, CIH, CISP and JINSP. Prior to starting her own
business, Saha was associated with Nashsoft Systems as branch
manager.

FAMILY:

Manasi is
married to Sumanta Saha, who works with IBM in Pune. Her
father-in-law was the biggest support during her entrepreneurial
journey. “My father-in-law was the person who encouraged me to do
something on my own. I was fortunate to receive all kind of support
from my father, mother and my husband for my entrepreneurial venture
and making contribution to the development of various social factors.
My father-in-law and my brother are the two people who have always
inspired me,” she disclosed.

CHALLENGES:

Being a
person with a never-say-die attitude, Manasi is never afraid to face
any challenges that come in her way. “I am a fighter and so far
have never failed in any challenge. I know how to win and now made it
a practice,” said Manasi.

Manasi feels
that she has a creative insight and posses leadership quality. She
believes that creativity and right leadership are the key factors to
become successful in any venture. “I never wanted to work under
somebody. I always wanted to exploit my entrepreneurship ability to
create a worthy place for myself in the business world,” she said.
Manasi always wanted to be on the top of whatever she does in her
life; be it in academic field, sports, or instrumental music.

She
considers
business her passion and family her responsibility. Being one of the
faces of today's powerful business women, Saha knows how to manage
business and family together.

STRENGHTS:

Her biggest
strength is her positive attitude towards everything in life and only
weakness is her strong affection towards her 12-year-old son, Agniv.
She believes that being a women is an advantage and not a
disadvantage to carry forward your dreams and attain them.

HOBBIES:

Saha loves to
spend time with her son and her extended family. As her husband is
off-stationed in Pune, they usually spend quality time whenever he is
in Kolkata. She doesn't like going to parties, instead prefers to
be with her family. Saha is also an ardent lover of different sports
especially high jump and long jump. She was a national level athlete
in high jump during her school days and has participated in various
sports. Her favorite sports-person is former cricketer, Sourav
Ganguly because of his fighting spirit and leadership quality.

FUTURE:

Sky is the
limit for Manasi and she wants to achieve as much as she can within
her timeline. As a foremost consideration, Saha wants to double her
company's turnover within next 3 years.
