The Pune-based Computers and Media Dealers Association (CMDA) will be
re-launching its web portal www.cmdapune.com. Though the portal was launched
last year, this re-launch was considered to ensure that the site is accessible
to end-customers as well. To facilitate this, the association has tied up with a
local FM radio channel to carry promos besides print ads that will appear
regularly.
The portal will provide information on various service centers, notifications
about special offers and deals, list of CMDA members, technical tips, news and
views and will be carrying three advertisements and 20 special offers.
The association wants to use the website as a medium help its members reach
out to a wider breadth of customers. Naresh Lalwani, CMDA Secretary said, “The
end user, who could be either a home user or corporate, will have access to the
latest technology-related offers through the web portal.”
Dealers who want to become CMDA members can register at the site by filling
up a simple registration form. After this the officials from CMDA will
personally contact the dealer.
Since support has become a crucial aspect while making purchase decisions,
the site will carry details of the various service centers in the city.
Additionally, it also carries the warranty policies of most vendors. This will
offer clarity about the support policies offered by vendors and dealers can
educate customers about the correct protocol to get service.
