Quantum inks partnership with Tata Elxsi

Quantum Corporation announced that it
has entered into a
distribution partnership in India with Tata Elxsi, a product
engineering company. Tata Elxsi would market, resell, service and
support Quantum disk-based backup, tape and software products in
India. These products will be marketed to end users, as well as other
India-based value-added resellers.

In addition, href="http://dqchannels.ciol.com/content/reselleralert/110021102.asp">Tata
Elxsi would become a
Quantum Authorized Service Provider, which would allow the company to
provide maintenance and support services for customers and channel
partners. “As customers struggle with tremendous data growth, we
wanted to partner with a company that could provide a comprehensive
range of highly reliable products that could help them manage and
protect this data,'' said MM Prasad, VP-Systems Integration, Tata
Elxsi.

He added that the breadth and depth of
Quantum's disk, tape and software product portfolio made them the
ideal choice. “Over the last year, Quantum has greatly expanded and
enhanced its product portfolio to help customers meet their evolving
data protection and management challenges,” said Jeff Lebold,
MD-Asia-Pacific, Quantum. He added that Tata Elxsi is an ideal
partner with their market and technical expertise that would greatly
complement their products.
