20,000 licenses a month and should be able to touch 50,000 by next quarter,”
he added.

Jagannath Patnaik, VP-Sales and Marketing, Quick Heal mentioned that
Guardian Anti Virus is going to create awareness amongst the home users to use
genuine and licensed product, as they cannot afford to lose out on their work.
He further stated that this move would also discourage the piracy market.

On the other hand, Dixit mentioned that appointing distributors for Guardian
Anti Virus will help them approach the end customers in a more organized way
besides ensuring availability of the product.

As an introductory offer Quick Heal will be offering an additional pack free
to its channel partners and distributors.

Speaking about the appointment, Manohar Malani, CEO, NCS Computech said, “We
have been associated with Quick Heal since 1994 and given that we are present in
17 cities already our company will make every effort to push the product
further. Besides many a times partners and consumers are not aware of where one
can get a low-cost software. Having a distributor in place will ensure
availability of products. Since this product is targeted at the home users and
has been designed keeping in mind their requirements besides being low priced,
it will be received well by the home segment as with the new product they
(consumers) also get an alternate to pirated software.”
