The plug-out protection is compatible
with RJ45 standard patch cords from R&M. The color coding with
clips provide additional security and assistance for correctly
connecting the patch cord. Patch Guard supplements the modular R&M
security system, with an additional convincing solution. With it, the
patch cable and LAN connections become the most secure link in the
network. Patch Guard is compatible with the R&M freenet cabling
system and the R&M security system.

The security system of R&M for
network plug in the LAN area is divided into three stages. Level one
allows visual coding with colored plastic cuffs. The SC-RJ can assign
two colors-one indicates the type of fiber, the other application.
Level two is called Data Safe Lock and is offered for RJ45 plugs. It
enables a mechanical coding of specially designed, patented adapters,
clips and frames. However, plugging only works if the profiles match.
Level three sets stricter standards with cuffs (Plug Guard) to
prevent any accidental or unauthorized extraction. The cuffs can be
opened only by authorized person, who have special keys. The RJ45
connectors are also lockable caps (Jack Guard), which prevent
incorrect insertion. The system is consistent and can be mounted
without tools and can be expanded later.

All security levels allow upgrading the
existing network and its components. Tedious fault tracking and
interferences due to faulty patching can be avoided easily.
