RAD to unveil solution for cellular and enterprise networks

New Delhi: RAD Data Communications is all set to unfurl a complete set of gateways that support 2G and 3G cellular backhaul over landline, satellite and microwave radio links at CommunicAsia 2009, which is being held in Singapore between June 16-19.

RAD's Vmux-405, Vmux-425 and Vmux-445 GSM Abis optimization gateways optimize GSM Abis (BSC-to-BTS) traffic and transport it over an E1/STM-1 or 10/100BaseT or Gigabit Ethernet link. RAD's Vmux trunking solutions complete its offering to mobile operators and enterprises. Widely deployed in the Indian region, the MiniCVS NG is a fully redundant 3G media gateway that provides compressed voice transmission over TDM and IP networks.

Employing powerful voice compression algorithms as well as TDMoIP pseudowire technology, the Mini CVS NG 3G media gateway can compress up to 16 full E1 circuits over a single E1 line or IP uplink.

“By optimizing the Abis interface, the Vmux-405, Vmux-425 and Vmux-445 complete RAD's cellular offering by complementing our MiniCVS NG or Gmux-2000 voice trunking gateways, which optimize and compress the E (MSC-to-PSTN) interface,” noted Toby Korall, Sr Product Line Manager, RAD Data Communications.
