Rajkot association to launch bulletin

In their bid to solve IT problems and to be in the know about activities in the Saurashtra region, Gujarat-based Rajkot Channel Traders Association (RCTA) will launch a bi-monthly bulletin on September 9. The bulletin will be distributed free-of-cost to the retailers and dealers in the Saurashtra region. The bulletin will be a first of its kind initiative by an association in the region.

Kalpesh Rughani, President, RCTA stated, “Through this bulletin, we aim to keep the retailers and dealers in our region in the know about the developments in the IT space. We are also keen on giving technical updates for various products through these bulletins as that is a major focus area for us.”

The first edition is already in the process of being launched and the association believes that the bulletin will be successful in solving the problems of the hardware and network dealers in their region. The association, which has 176 members, has formed a management committee of seven members for this bulletin. The committee includes Kalpesh Rughani, President; Samir Desai, Secretary; Praful Desai, Treasurer; Kirit Patel, Joint Secretary; Sarju Patel, Vice President; Saurin Parekh who will be in-charge of the advertisement collection and Amit Kothari who is in-charge of functional activities.

The association also plans to raise funds for the association, which can be used for their regular activities such as the upcoming garba program, cricket tournaments and other IT expo related seminars. The association has already started a website www.rcta.com, which includes a fraud alert segment where companies, dealers, retailers can indicate any fraudulent activity that they come across in their region and warn others about the same. ''We want to educate our partners about various things from giving tips on enhancing their businesses, to strategies to improve their relationship with the customers,” added Praful Desai, Treasurer, RCTA.
