Ramco retail bags order form Subhiksha

Ramco Retail has won an order for development, delivery and implementation of
Web Services for Subhiksha's proposed e-commerce. Subhiksha hopes to achieve
this through an online retail model, similar to Amazon.com and eBay.com. Ramco
will develop, deliver and implement Web Services powered by Ramco business
process platform.

Ramco's Web Services will be platform-neutral, based on an easy-to-deploy set
of standards

for achieving total integration between business data and processes, without
the need for proprietary and point-to-point connections.

Ramco's solution will make information available across multiple business
applications that are part of Subhiksha's IT Eco system on an on-demand basis.

The key business requirements that will be addressed by Ramco are (a)
customer information which includes profile, behavior, activities, preferences
and distribution; (b) product information which includes catalog, availability,
new releases, promotion, supply and demand; and (c) operations information to
integrate back-end ERP and front-end point of sale system for logistics,
allocation, procurement, schedule, inventory and shelf space.
