New Update

Recognizing the promising demand for business applications across mid-sized enterprises, Chennai-based Ramco Systems is now looking at expanding its partner footprint for its e.App suite of products. In this direction, the company is looking at strategic tie-ups with vendors like Intel and IBM and use their channel base to further promote its solutions. Currently, the company has been dealing with 15 software solution providers to sell and implement e.App, but is now keen to engage with the conventional SI community to increase this business.

"The vendors have shown keenness on forming an ecosystem, where our software solutions could be offered along with their hardware and in the process also offer their SI partners an enhanced business opportunity," informs Tripureswar Chattopadhaya, National Sales Manager-Partners, Ramco Systems.

He claims that partners would be keen to deal in e.App since it's far better remunerative than other product lines they deal in. Ramco would have a mix of sales as well as implementation partners. "For every five sales partner, we would have one implementation partner," informs
Tripureswar.

While acknowledging that similar strategies are being adopted by players like SAP as well, the company officials feels that the market potential is much higher to get worried about competition. "Of our overall software business, we are confident of e.App contributing between 30-35% revenue in the current fiscal," adds R Shankar, Country Manager (IMEA), Ramco Systems. He feels that by leveraging on the strengths of traditional IT channel in terms of their existing relationships with customer, the company would be able to position its e.App solutions much better than the competition.
