RB Traders introduces low-cost printing kit

Pune: RB Traders have launched a kit that can print up to 17,000 copies once
filled with ink. The kit is compatible with HP, Epson, Canon and Brother
printers. Once filled and fitted to a printer the company claims it can print up
to 17,000 copies. The kit is being sold under the name of RB Traders and is
available from Rs 2,000, depending on the printer.

Ashok Bhosale, Proprietor, RB Traders said, “We have already sold 15,000
kits in the country as this product will save customers much money. Customers
can get printouts of a text page for just 3paisa, and photographers 4x6 for just
36paisa. Other OEM kits can print only 250 copies once the cartridge is
refilled. The cost of refilling the ink for this cartridge is just Rs 400 and we
are now targeting photographers, architects, SMBs and doctors with out product.
Presently we have 15 distributors in the country and are looking to appoint more
distributors to sell this product.”

With this kit, RB Traders will now take on the MNCs like HP, Epson and Canon
who are struggling to increase the sales of their cartridge business by offering
their printers at discounted rates. HP recently announced that it would
introduce more activities to promote its cartridge business and educate
customers about original cartridges and their benefits. This move was a result
of the fact that vendors are having a tough time fighting the refill business.
There are franchisees like the Cartridge World that plan to have around 40 shops
by the year-end.
