RCTA holds election after 2-year gap

Jaipur : After two years of remaining in a dormant state, Rajasthan
Computer Traders' Association (RCTA) has finally conducted its elections. The
newly appointed executive committee comprises Raj Kumar Poonia from Expert
Systems as President, Deepak Sharda from Sharda Systems as Secretary, Pankaj
Sharma from Seatel Electronic as VP, Samir Goel from Life Style Computers as
Joint Secretary, Prashant Parakh from Shreya Enterprises as PRO and Ashish Gupta
from Techno IT Solution as Treasurer.

Out of 180 votes, 106 votes were in favor of Poonia for the post of
President. Other candidates fighting for the post were Vivek Kalra from Kalra
Sales and Raman Ghatok from Whispering Windows. This is the second time Poonia
has been elected for the post. He had earlier served RCTA in 2004-06.

The total number of partners present during the elections was 241.

Sharing the agenda and plans for RCTA in the coming year, Poonia informed
that as of now the executive committee had not decided on any substantial issue.
"Immediately after Diwali, we will hold a meeting with the newly elected team
and will form executive teams who will handle different issues in channel
business," he added.

"The elections were held after two years and its outcome was very good. A
large number of partners turned up and we saw very good participation," said
Hira Singh, ex-PRO, RCTA.
