Resul Pookutty is the brand ambassador for Smart Infocomm's bluetooth headset

Chennai: Resul Pookutty of Oscar-fame, the latest brand ambassador for Smart Infocomm, launched the company's new stereo bluetooth headset here in Chennai on August 14. He has also donned the hat of technical advisor for Smart Infocomm. The company believes his sound engineering knowledge
will give it an edge over its competitors and play a big role in bringing out world-class products.

The headset, which incorporates the patented technology of Sonaptic Wolfson, features 16 hours of talk time and gives a 3-D effect output. The MRP of the headset is Rs 3,350.

While addressing the media, Krishnan Ramaswamy, Head-operations, Smart Infocomm, said, “Within this short span, we have made significant progress and our presence is felt in many countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East regions owing to our superior quality products. To align with our vision of a global brand,we have signed up the Oscar award winner Resul Pookutty, as our brand ambassador.

Pookutty said, “I believe that the future of India lies in the young minds. That's the primary reason for collaborating with these two young guys. I am sure we will bring out world-class products to Indian market."

The company has plans to make its products available through 25 exclusive experience zones in major malls across India. Currently, the company has nine service centers in major cities of India and is planning to open another seven service centers before the end of this year. In Chennai, Pelikan Office Automation is the distributor for Smart infocomm products.

“Our brand Smart Infocomm is currently registered in 80 countries across the globe and the Smart range of products will be rolled out across SAARC countries later this year,” Ramaswamy informed.

Later in the evening, channel partners meeting was held, where the new stereo bluetooth was introduced. The company has announced a scheme for the dealer network for August, wherein a partner will be rewarded with a gold coin for every three stereo bluetooth sold.
