RSA appoints Kartik Shahani

RSA announced the appointment of href="http://www.ciol.com/News/Executive-Track/News-Reports/Kartik-Shahani-is-RSA-regional-leader/134275/0/">Kartik
Shahani as the Regional Leader for RSA, India and SAARC. Shahani
will
be responsible for leading RSA's business operations in the region
and growing sales of the company's offerings in the area of
security solutions for business acceleration.

Commenting on the appointment, Geoff
Haydon, VP-Asia Pacific, RSA, said, “India is one of RSA's most
strategic markets with a veteran like Kartik at the helm, I believe
that RSA will be able to accelerate and further consolidate its
leadership position in the Indian market.”

Shahani comes to RSA with an
illustrious track record, having held senior positions with McAfee
India and Netmagic. Shahani has played a key role in setting up the
High End Production Systems group at Xerox India.

Elaborating on his role as Regional
Leader for India and SAARC, Shahani said, “The online threat
landscape is rapidly evolving and is compelling everyone including
enterprises to protect their information and IT assets with an
information-centric approach. The opportunity with RSA, a clear
visionary and leader in delivering information-centric security as
part of the information infrastructure, is an exciting one in a
growth market. I look forward to building on the growth base already
in place and accelerating it to new levels.”

Shahani holds an Engineering Degree
from the University of Bombay and an MBA from the University of New
England, Australia.
