Sagarmatha to expand further in the east

Delhi-based Shree Sagarmatha Distributors, promoter of the brand Techcom, is
planning to open more offices in the East. Within the next couple of months the
company will set up service centers in Guwahati and Bhubaneswar and also open
full-fledged branches in these two locations thereafter.

Said Sunil Kandoi, Branch Manager - Shree Sagarmatha Distributors, "Techcom
has captured a good market share in the east. Earlier we had our presence in the
east through a few partners but it was limited. With our Kolkata branch we
achieved a growth of over 100 percent within a year. We have set up a
full-fledged service center in Kolkata, which has helped us to provide quick
warranty support to our customers and gain market confidence."

Kandoi in particular is excited about the growing market potential in North
Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and North-East. The company opened a branch cum service
center at Patna recently and will also open one more branch at Ranchi in order
to cover entire state of Jharkhand.

"In the last one year we have captured a good market share in the in
North-East, Bhubaneswar, Jharkhand, South Bengal, Patna and Kolkata. Now we are
ready to expand our reach across eastern India. We want to increase our presence
across North Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, which are high potential markets and
explore them to the fullest. We have started with Patna and through this branch
we will spread our business all across Bihar," Kandoi added.

Sagarmatha has also trained its sights on Siliguri. Given the huge
opportunity in this city as well as Darjeeling, Bhutan and Sikkim, Kandoi feels
that there is a possibility for them to grow better. "We have a good
presence in Siliguri through our partner Placewell Systems and Solutions. We can
capture a greater market share and are planning to rope in few good partners in
the region," he said. The company is also planning to open a service center
at Siliguri soon.
