Sage India intros payroll solutions

New Delhi: Sage India announced the release of Sage Pocket in Professional and Premium versions.

Payroll is an essential monthly activity involving complexities related to calculations, deductions and statutory regulations. Sage Pocket offers the best of the capabilities to accomplish these tasks with ease. Fit for the SME segment, Sage Pocket has been developed and designed keeping the Indian conditions in mind.

Thomas Abraham, MD, Sage India said, “Having an efficient payroll process in place is crucial to ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with statutory requirements. Sage Pocket has been simplified to enable the Partner network of Sage to easily sell and implement it for their customers. We expect to substantially increase our penetration in the Indian market with these new releases.”

Sage Pocket comes in two versions-Professional and Premium. There are also online modules available as add-ons.

RS Raman, GM-Sage Pocket, Sage India said, “Our R&D team in Chennai has focused on streamlining the product and making it 'easy to install' and 'easy to use' while enhancing the features and functionality. We have also set up a partner channel of over 25 partners across India who will be selling and implementing Sage Pocket. We expect to grow our customer base in India substantially from the current 300 customers with this new release. We are also soliciting more partner enrollments with us to take this product closer to the customers in various geographies in India.”

All the Sage Pocket versions are available with six modules-payroll, leave, income tax, benefit, HR letters and e-mail. With a starting price of Rs 25,000, Sage Pocket is now available with all authorized Sage partners of Sage India.
