Sahara launches new PCs and laptops

Sahara Computers and Electronics ltd has launched new range of Sahara Laptop
and desktop computers. The new range includes Core Duo and Core 2 Duo Laptop and
desktops computers and Intel's new business Platform Santa Rosa based Laptop.

George Van Der Merwe, COO, Sahara Computers and Electronics, said, "With
the launch of our range, we would be further strengthening our product portfolio
and would be able to tap the niche customers looking for a best technology
packed with great looks".

Sahara's new 15.4'' Wide screen Laptop is powered with Intel Core Duo
Processor. Available with Windows XP, Vista and Linux as OS this laptop has 1GB
DDR2-SDRAM and 120 GB HDD. The other features include a built-in High Definition
Audio, Inbuilt Wireless card and Super Multi DVD -RW. It has 8 - Cell Battery a
life of four hours, Wireless, LAN , HDD Access, Quick start buttons and Power
button. The launch price for this Business Class Laptop has been set at Rs
35,999 excluding Taxes.

The Windows XP, Vista and Linux based Sahara Core 2 Duo Desktop Range.
Starting with Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 2.0GHz 800MHz 2MB processor, 512 MB RAM,
160 GB HD and DVD-RW, and this is one of the high end PCs launched by Sahara
Computers on the Intel platform. This Desktop comes with a 17" TFT monitor,
multimedia keyboard and optical mouse. The introductory price of the Desktop is
Rs 25,999.

The new Intel's new business Platform Santa Rosa based Laptop features Intel
Core 2 DUO processor and has Intel GM 965 / GL 960 chipset. Comes with 120GB HDD
with 1 GB RAM; this stylish laptop has 12.1 inches LCD Screen. It is priced at
Rs 45,000.
