Samsung announces upgradation programs for consumers

Samsung India Electronics Ltd (SIEL) has launched upgradation programs for its color monitors and laser printer. Called the Samsung 'Turbo Upgrade'
Offer for color monitors and the Samsung 'Smart Xchange' offer for printers, both these offers seek to incentivize consumers to upgrade their existing PC
components/printers by giving them a strong value proposition.

As part of the Samsung 'Turbo Upgrade' offer, consumers can bring in their old 15" PC monitor, CDROM and 10 /20 GB hard disc drive and upgrade to a 17"
Samsung Magic Bright PC Monitor, CDRW and an 80GB/7200 RPM HDD for Rs 11,999. Alternatively, a consumer can go in for a 17" PC Monitor,
CDRW, 80GB/7200RPM HDD configuration for Rs 9,499.

Valid from 5th May to 15th June, 2004, the Samsung 'Turbo Upgrade' offer will be run exclusively through over the
company's 1,000 selected and trained PC assemblers.

The 'Samsung Smart Xchange' is an upgrade and exchange offer applicable on all its laser printers. As part of this offer, a
consumer can exchange his/her old working inkjet/dot matrix or laser printer for a Samsung laser
printer of his choice, at a discount of upto Rs 3,500.

Announcing the Samsung 'Turbo Upgrade' offer, SIEL VP -IT Product Sales Vivek Prakash states, "The offer allows a consumer to not only upgrade his
current configuration but also provides reasonable value to the Indian consumer for his/her past investment."
