Recognizing its channel partners on the basis of their business performance,
Samsung India has classified its IT Partners including the regional distributors
and stockist partners into three broad categories viz. Platinum partners, Gold
partners and Silver partners. The new program is called Samsung IT Partner
Program (SIPP). Commenting on the new changes in the classification of the
partners, Ranjit Singh Yadav, Director-IT, Samsung India said, “The new Samsung
IT Partner Program is being launched with the objective of having all Samsung IT
Partners under a single umbrella program and having an integrated approach
towards selling Samsung IT products to our partners.”
SIPP will categorize the Samsung IT partners under three broad divisions
based on the sales volumes, consistency of sales performance and the product
mix. Channel partners driving an average monthly volume of Rs 50 lakh or above
in metro cities that include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata or Rs 20 lakh or
above in non-metro cities and showing a consistency in at least 10 out of last
12 months for a minimum of three product groups, will be classified as Platinum
Partners.
