Samsung launches two new Wi-Fi NotePCs

Samsung India Electronics Ltd (SIEL) has announced the launched of Samsung X10 plus, a two-spindle NotePC on 14.1
screen and Samsung M40--the UWXGA 17" NotePC. Both the machines are based on the Intel Centrino platform, having
the Intel Pentium M processor. 

M 40 weighs three kgs (with battery) and comes with a 17" wide LCD screen, 3D sound speakers and an advanced AV
station that has the capability to interact with a variety of new age digital devices. It also features
biometric finger print recognition technology for increased security for consumers. The end user price of M 40 is Rs 2,49,990. 

The X10 advanced configuration of featuring Nvidia 64 MB graphics card, enhanced multimedia features and AV output
using the Video port out and digital interface port, allows a user to create home theatre effect using
the built in DVD Player of the NotePC. It is priced at Rs 1,69,990. 

Samsung is also introducing the PC 2700 (333 MHz) DDR memory in its newly launched X10 Plus and M40 Note PC,
which the company claims is 1.5 times faster than PC2100 DDR. All NotePCs feature "Smart Invertor Control"
function, which ensure that all the batteries re-charge in flat two hours.

With the launch of the X10 and the M40 models, Samsung now has a range of five Wi-Fi enabled NotePCs- the M40,
X10plus and X 10, X05, P30 and Q20.
