AMD has announced that Sandip Naik has been promoted as the Head of channel
sales for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. In his new role, Naik will be
responsible for driving channel sales and outreach for the company. He will work
closely with channel partners in these regions and will also be responsible for
strategic affiliations with ecosystem partners.
Naik has been associated with AMD for over three years. He comes with a deep
understanding of the channel business and enjoys strong relationships with the
channel community across the country.
Alok Ohrie, MD, AMD India said, “We are pleased to entrust Naik with the
responsibility of driving AMD's channel initiatives in India and neighboring
countries. Naik has proven himself in different roles within AMD and with his
sincerity and passion, we are confident that he will excel in his new role. We
look forward to AMD's channel business scaling new heights under his
leadership.”
Commenting on his new responsibilities, Naik said, “With a series of
innovative product launches and an innovative line-up for the future, this is an
exciting time for AMD and its channel partners. AMD believes that its channel
partners are critical for its growth in the country. I am looking forward to
deepening AMD's channel market penetration and engaging closely with our
partners to tap new markets and opportunities.”
Naik's appointment comes in light of Haresh Bharia, Director-Distribution
and Sales, AMD India's exit to pursue opportunities outside AMD. Bharia has
been instrumental in setting up the channel network for AMD and leading the team
to establish a wide coverage model for AMD products in that space.
