SES Technologies: Focus on increasing product offerings

For SES last year could literally be called the year of addition of products.
Also, the company tied-up with international brands

One of the key changes that SES technologies saw last fiscal was the
resignation of PK Krishnaprasad who is believed to have quit for personal
reasons. Consequently leadership was handed over to Kurien Chandy, the then VP.

The company revenue for the year 2005-06 closed at Rs 461.78 crore as
compared to Rs 377.05 for 2004-05. The revenue saw a 22 percent surge but lesser
growth, which was achieved the previous financial year.

Last year SES was almost on a shopping spree with the addition of high-end
brands to its portfolio. It tied-up with international brands like Asrock,
Tandberg, Intransa to distribute their products in India.

Also, it was appointed as the exclusive national distributor for Pureview
Technologies for its LCD monitors.

SES Technologies' manufacturing operations at Pondicherry received the
ISO-14001: 2004 for successfully implementing Environmental Management System by
AQSR International Inc. The facility focuses on the server and desktop
businesses. It mainly focuses on integration and supply of custom built personal
computers and servers for office automation, industrial process and personal
computing. 

Future plans include adding new product lines to complement and leverage
current strengths. They are seriously exploring the peripheral space. The
company is focusing on telecom, server and networking line of business while
also consolidating its existing line of businesses.

There was no new addition or opening of any new branch offices, however,
headcount of employees increased from 176 in 2005 to 205 this year.
