Shobhit Mathur joins EMC

Delhi: EMC India announced the appointment of Shobhit Mathur as the Head of the Content Management and Archiving (CMA) business for EMC in India.

Announcing the appointment, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India & SAARC said, "With business information growing exponentially and unstructured data posing a severe challenge, organizations are looking to invest in information management solutions that help them unlock and harness the value of their information while addressing issues around archival and compliance. I am confident that Shobhit, with his vast experience and strong track record in the IT industry, will help expand EMC's strategic reach with our Content Management and Archiving solutions." He further added "We have seen good response for our SourceOne information governance solution for e-mail archiving in India and we look forward to providing customers with content management solutions that deliver immediate RoI."

Mathur joins EMC from CORDYS, where he was the Director for Sales. In a career spanning 18 years, he has held senior sales positions in sales and channels, and alliances at companies including SAP, Oracle, Compaq and Digital. His experience and focus has been on people and strategic sales management, and implementing best practices across various interdependent groups in the organization.

The Content Management and Archiving Solutions division of EMC offers customers content solutions such as Captiva intelligent document capture, Documentum enterprise content management, Document Sciences enhanced customer communications, and SourceOne e-mail management and information governance. These solutions help businesses and governments securely capture, manage, process, deliver and archive information, with a view to maximizing the value of its information assets.
