Singapore-based V One Multimedia (V One) introduced home entertainment
products in the Indian market a month ago, with four brands catering for
different business segments. Of these four, Snazio and Snazzi are already
available in the Indian market.
Snazzi has eight products for the video editing business segment. Snazio
entered the Indian market with five products namely, Snazio TV PVR, Pocket
Cinema, DV Card, Pocket PVR and Snazio AV Break Box.
Detesh Aggarwal, Country Manager, V One, said, "We are going to bring a
USB watch for the Indian market. At the end of every quarter, we will bring
around 13 to 15 new Snazio products to the country," he said.
The company is looking aggressively to expand its market reach through new
partners and dealers all across the country. New Delhi-based Neo Peripherals has
been appointed as he distributor of northern India.

Detesh informed, "We are looking for distributors in all regions of the
country. By December 2004, we expect to have around four more distributors all
over India. We are also targeting to achieve more than 200 dealers all across
the country for the same line of products."
In terms of providing services and support to the distributors, he said,
"Our distributors will work as import partners of the company. For
delivering quality service, they would maintain a healthy buffer stock for
warranty support."
For channel expansion and for moving the business further, the company has
also introduced an attractive Bangkok offer. Under this scheme, any dealer who
sells 200 pieces of Snazio's product range, will be awarded with two days and
two-night holiday package in Thailand and Bangkok. "This is the company's
strategy to encourage those who perform well," Detesh added.
Informing about the present focus of Snazio in India, Detesh said,
"Right now our major emphasis will be on Snazio TV PVR. This product is a
TV tuner card with many unique features as compared to the existing brands. In
terms of cost, value additions and quality, Snazio TV PVR has an upper hand over
the others."
The cost of the TV PVR is Rs 2,600 for the Indian market. The unique
broadcast feature is going to be the USP of the product, which is used to
broadcast TV footage to anyone whether online or offline.
Talking about the performance of Snazio in the Indian market so far, Vikas
Dogra, Neo Peripherals said, "We have received very good feedback from our
dealers. Since the company is providing good support for us, it becomes easier
to explore the market with such cutting edge technology products. The company is
providing a good buffer stock to support its one-year warranty plan on its
product range."
