Solution Champ: Team Computers

Team Computers is one the major players in Business Intelligence and big data analytics segment and garnered around Rs 65 crore in this domain. As reported, it executed 60 BI projects, all ranging from `30 lakh to 1.5 crore. BI accounts to 25% the total business of the company.

One of the major BI projects was for Videocon Telecom deploying CRM and financial management solutions. Overall, BI and UC have been two major catalysts for the growth of Team Computers. The company implemented more than 300 analytics projects enabling customers to organize their structured data and around and 40 projects for unstructured data.

In 2011, Team Computers also launched launched Institute of Business Intelligence (IBI) in Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon. The institute was reported to be focused on building solution experts on business intelligence platforms like QlikView.
In FY13, the company did an overall business of 262 crore.

e-Zest

e-Zest provides BI services that include consulting, implementation and support and maintenance services. In FY 13, the company clocked around 10 percent-Rs 1.8 crore-of the total business and expects around Rs 5 crore in FY 14

In the deployments area, the company executed SaaS based Financial Dashboard Solution built using Pentaho BI Platform and integrated with PHP and Fusion Chart for Rich UI. The company developed and implemented Dashboard Collaboration Component in this solution.
It also implemented MicroStrategy Retail BI App where the client was retail Marketing Company which helps retailers increase revenue through customer loyalty programs. Key modules were shopper segmentation, sales, product movement

Lauren Information Technologies

Mumbai-based Lauren Information Technologies is reported to deploy forecasting and budgeting BI solutions for customers in the BFSI and manufacturing segments amounting to Rs 35 lakh to Rs 75 lakh. Lauren has worked with leading organizations to deliver cutting-edge and reliable Business Analytics solutions to suit their business needs.
For BI solutions, its dashboard reporting are highly visual, graphically attractive business landing pages that consolidate numbers, metrics, risks and performance scorecards on a single screen. Lauren's dashboard reporting offers intuitive and flexible interface and helps pull real time data from multiple sources.

Foetron

In BI and big data analytics, Foetron is one of the most promising companies. It did an overall business of 1.5 crore in FY 13 and expects a growth of 75% in FY 14. Some of its clients include body healer's network in Noida. Another includes one large automotive workshop company.

The company is in talks with the police department for on-the-go mobile deployments and BI solutions. The company is betting big on hospitality industry which is the major growth driver. Also, the Aaam Aadmi Party is also one its client. The company created an application which can be run also on feature phones and thereby giving BI solutions.

It has a team of 25 engineers for its services who takes care of data management, analysis and presales. The compelling reason for partners to go in for BI and big data is the lucrative services pie.

Nalgan

For Hyderabad-based Nalgan, the key focus has always been on promoting a technologically-advanced, human-centric approach to Business Intelligence; creating a global understanding of how to effectively utilize data, moving it from ‘valuable asset' to ‘plan of action' at the click of a button. It generated around 2 Million USD (US entity) and Rs 3 crore (Indian Division) from BI/Analytics services in the last financial year. In FY 2014, Nalgan, is expecting more than 100% growth.
From deployment perspective, it implemented two mobile BI solutions in one of the leading pharma companies as well as one mobile BI application for a retail company. Mobile BI constitutes 80% of the total deployments by Nalgan.
