SP Summit Day 2: Edward Jeevan, from Binary Systems speaks on shift From Public To Private Cloud...

Cloud Computing turned out to be one of key buzzwords at the DQ Channels SP Summit 2013. No wonder, the topic was further further explored by the next speaker Edward Jeevan, director of Binary Systems, who talked about moving from public to private cloud, citing examples.

Presenting his experiences on this subject, Jeevan used an interesting case study of a BPO wherein he described the journey from a physical environment based setup to a virtual setup to public cloud and finally on to a private cloud.

Jeevan said, "We had to shift to private cloud infra during the peak load and we did it. Team had skills, guts and confidence to take the RISK to pull the entire set of productions servers out of public cloud and deploy it on private cloud Infra within 12 hours."

Going ahead, Jeevan highlighted the significance of relationship building over price.
