Sun to acquire SavaJe Technologies

Sun Microsystems Inc and SavaJe Technologies announced that the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement in which Sun will buy out SavaJe’s intellectual property assets. Details on the acquisition of these assets will be unveiled at the annual JavaOne Conference being held in San Francisco from May 8-11, 2007.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Sun’s 2007 fiscal year, which began on April 2, 2007.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, as the transaction is immaterial to Sun’s earnings per share.
