Surat banks on retail

With three retail outlets having opened in last 15 days, Surat appears to be the next big retail destination. Vishnu Thakkar, Sprint Peripherals, opened a retail showroom in the first week of May in Surat. He said, “The branded PC market is picking up. Retail is the best way to showcase and attract customers today.” Thakkar is confident that retail will give a decent hike to his revenue.

Hiten Shah of Media House, another partner banking on retail said, “A showroom will showcase entire range of HP laptops, desktops and accessories under one roof.”

Manish Gandhi of Exetera Infotech, who recently opened his second retail showroom in the city, said that retail is welcomed by the end-user. “Users get one shop to buy things from when visiting
retail outlets, customers are convinced of the place
and after-sales support,” he added.
