TAIT's new directors unanimously elected

It is election time at Trade Association of IT (TAIT), Mumbai, which
represents over 350 channel companies, comprising distributors, resellers,
system integrators, and software and networking companies.

After Saurin Shah resigned from the director's post of TAIT, Sandeep
Parasrampuria, Director, Best IT World (India) and Vinod Mulchandani,
Proprietor, Aarvee Computers were in the fray for the coveted post. However,
Mulchandani withdrew his nomination on Sep 22, the last day for withdrawal,
paving the way for Parasrampuria to be elected unanimously.

Gul Phagwani, another director with the executive council has also decided to
resign for certain personal reasons. Ketan Patel of Mumbai-based Creative
Peripherals will now handle this second director's post. Meanwhile, Pravin Dhoka
of Ortek Computers will continue as the third director.

The formal institution of the new directors was carried out during TAIT's AGM
on Sep 27.
