Tally launches 'Pragati'

Accounting Software major, Tally has launched 'Pragati' - earn while you
learn' program, aiming to empower students and youth of India with an
opportunity with multi-pronged benefits.

The program enables students enrolled in the Tally Financial Accounting
Program (TFAP)/ Tally Financial Accounting Certification (TFAC) to facilitate
demand generation for Tally 9, the business accounting and inventory management
software, for a prospective customer, thereby ensuring him/her a source of
income while they are engaged in learning, Tally said in a release.

The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge while learning and
applying the same profitably. This also provides the students a hands-on
experience of the product, as well as business relevant applications.

Students, irrespective of their educational backgrounds, can enroll either in
the TFAP or TFAC or a bundled-offer and get certified through a 1000-plus
TallyAcademy network spread across India.

Pragati is a pan-India initiative by Tally. This programme is currently open
for enrollment and will come to a close on October 18th 2007.

Tally has deployed a field force of over 5,500 people for 45 days to forge
collaboration with colleges across the country.

Avinash Gupta, CEO, Global Education and Training Business, Tally (India)
Private Limited, said, "The program offers students a chance to be a part
of the community of competent financial accounting professionals, thereby
providing them with an opportunity to work with companies or turn into
entrepreneurs."

Under this programme, special performance based cash awards for meritorious
students worth a total of Rs 6,75,000 is also being offered, Tally said in a
statement.
