Tata Elxsi, Proassist tie-up for embedded projects

Tata Elxsi announced its tie-up with Proassist, the Japan-based provider of
product/system development services in embedded control electronics. Proassist
has a strong hold in embedded solutions that include factory automation
technologies, providing services in embedded control system, hardware (ASIC/FPGA)
to circuit design, consulting prototyping/mass production and system
integration.

According to a Tata Elxsi statement, the partnership reiterates Tata Elxsi's
strength in embedded products and design-DSP, imaging and ASIC. Both the
companies will look towards drawing synergies and working together on various
embedded projects for mutually benefiting their customer base in Japan.

Speaking on the tie-up Ikoma Kyoko, CEO, Proassist said, “Tata Elxsi and
Proassist are in collaboration to build the Proassist global development center
(PGDC) in India with Tata Elxsi, Bangaluru. The PGDC will be responsible for
embedded projects in DSP, imaging and ASIC for factory automation customers in
Japan. The companies will jointly work on R&D projects and IP developments.”

Manoj Raghavan, Geography Head-Japan and East Asia, Tata Elxsi said, “Japan
remains a key market for Tata Elxsi. This collaboration with Proassist for
building the PGDC will not only help both the companies to strengthen their
foothold in the long term and increase the level of technical expertise in the
embedded space and IP development.”
