Celeron to Pentium4 with 14.1 to 15.1 inch monitor The Best is planning to launch notebooks under the 'i' range of
products.The new notebook would be called iball notebook and would be launched
in by August-end. Priced between Rs 45,000-Rs 50,000, the laptop's configuration would vary from Intel's Celeron to Pentium4 with a 14.1 to 15.1 inch
monitor. 

It would comprise 40GB HDD, 128 MB and CDR or combo drives. Though the low cost notebook segment in India is
crowded with MNC and  Indian vendors, this has not hindered the Mumbai-based company's plans. “The
market is definitely getting crowded but these manufacturers have their restrictions. MNCs and Indian notebook vendors operate in
their respective channels and invariably do not reach to the large assembled market. Now
these systems builders can sell a notebook as a value addition to their present business,” said The Best's Director, Sandeep
Parasrampuria. 

“The product is being launched only after conducting sturdy tests. Battery life is essential in a notebook therefore these
notebooks feature smart power technology with three hours backup time. We are also planning to
add accessories like a card reader in the notebook,” added Sandeep. 

'i' ball notebook will be launched in six to seven major cities. The
company plans to expand this number to 10 in another two months. Local warranty will be provided at all its 15 offices. 

The Best also plans to launch its pen drive called iball pen drive in  three capacities--128MB, 256MB and 512MB. The starting price for the pen
drive would be Rs 1,500. It also plans to relaunch its UPS range of product with an aggressive marketing plan.
